The sums involved can be staggering. Our client, one of the largest law firms in the world, sought a new way of communicating their research and analysis. Their clients like numbers. Numbers are easy to digest. Through the introduction of probabilities and payoffs, we developed a visual framework to analyse, evaluate, and plan for different legal outcomes.
We knew our team needed an economist, a designer and a software engineer. Success meant valuing a dispute over all possible sets of eventualities, communicating the information effectively, and via an application that anyone could use, anywhere and anytime.
We built a method of financially evaluating legal issues and scenarios, and relative to a settlement offer.
We emphasised the legal issues that most affected the outcome, making it easy to know where to focus.
We built a new interface for lawyers and their clients to collaborate and communicate.
We gave lawyers the ability to value disputes on demand, securely on any device.
Everybody involved won. The law firm gained a new source of revenue that involves negligible marginal effort on their part, and their clients gained a new source of rationalisation that's already helping to win and save millions.
Their clients feel more certain and in control because they've understood the maths.
